I use the worm castings every year - in the spring and again in the Fall. I have noticed a huge difference in my tomatoes. This is a wonderful product.

Great addition anywhere you plant!

Several years ago I came across mind and soil. I’ve used the worm castings since and I have never been disappointed. Jordan is awesome and my garden thrives with the help of his guidance (check out videos!), mindset and of course, worms castings!
Ann M.
I added some to my veggie garden bed and the plants are growing really well!
Tracy M.
Adding the worm castings seems to make all my seedlings very happy!!!

I have been ordering Mind and Soil worm castings and 4-4-4 fertilizer for a few years now and the results are always amazing! Great product, and great business!
Sharon S.
Every new planting this season has worm casting as the last layer of soil. So far all is well and flourishing!

I just got it today and can’t wait to use The worm Castings for my peppers
Thanks very much. Love the bag too.
Kathleen C.
Since using worm castings and your granular fertilizer I have consistent success in the garden.

Quality products that arrived safely. I love how well my seedlings are growing in Mind & Soil seedling mix and worm castings.

I’m really pleased with this addition to my seedlings!
They’re growing like weeds
Michele
Have always made my own mix of worm castings and seed starter but bought this premix from Mind & Soil this year to try because it was on sale. First, I was surprised to find the soil was quite lumpy and I could actually pick out few twigs (thought it was going to be finer given that it is described as 'sifted'). The soil comes in small burlap bags which I feel is not environmentally friendly at all (since the soil inside is also enclosed in a plastic bag). I know from a marketing point of view it looks good in the burlap but really it is a burden on the environment when we should be reducing fabric waste not creating it. Lastly, my seedlings did not grow any different to previous years. Next year I will return to making my own mix as more economical (and no burlap for land fill).
Suzi B.
It is very easy to add the product to both beds and planters. I like the packaging too.
Nadia W.
I've been getting worm castings for the past few years from Mind and Soil. Love the product and Jordan's mission.
Cheryl T.
A handful of worm castings in everything that I plant has amazing results. My tomatoes develop two sets of roots: near the surface and then another set about 8 inches down. I have never seen that before using worm castings.
Linda C.
Everything grows so much better with worm castings; bigger, lusher, and better production! An essential additive to gardening! Love it!
Laura S.
Excellent! Very pleased with the quality of the worm castings and that they are produced locally. They are also well-package and shipped in a timely fashion. Will be a yearly purchase for me.
Maxine C.
Great quality! Plants love it.
Karen L.
Worm castings and super food really boost the health of my plants! Last year three tomato plants produced almost 200 tomatoes! While the variety of plant definitely provided a longer yield time, I do credit much of the plants vitality to the products from mind and soil (seedling mix, super food and worm castings).
Gayle R.
Pure worm castings are the best. Friends can't understand why my plants are so heathy even in a yard that has lots of tall trees.
barbara l.
my potatoes and tomatoes are growing well although the weather, I think has hampered the growth, but am anxious to see how they look in late summer.
So appreciate all the help received from Jordan. He is great.
So many bugs this year eating everything except tomatoes. Jordan, you need to come up with bug killer.
Laurie D.
Mind and soils worm castings are fantastic! I now always add worm castings to the soil before transplanting my seedlings. They certainly contribute to healthier plants.
James B.
These worm catings are black gold!!! I direct sow and plant seedlings in a 50/50 mix of pure worm castings and potting soul and magical results occur. I have nevet had such healthy and hearty plants. Disease has vitually dissapeared and growth is exponential. Using these worm castings has taken my planting season to a level I had no idea was possible. I can honestly say if you give them a try not only will you not be dissapointed you will be amazed at the difference in plant health and vitality.

This stuff (worm casting) is the greatest fertilizer known to Mankind. Super charges all of my plants within days and continues to deliver throughout the year / growing season. I'd be willing to bet if I put some in my morning smoothie, I'd gain an inch or two!!
Asha T.
We used Mind & Soil Seed starting mix for the seed starts seen here. And used the pure worm casting aka pure gold in the holes at the time of transplanting. Our cabbage and kale patch has never looked so good!
Sandra M.
Worm casting really helps the plant grow healthy.
Jenn B.
Great product. Used this with my seedlings and plants last year and loved it. Can’t wait to use it again this year.
Megan E.
This is my second yr growing with Mind & Soil. The Worm Casting Mix is the BEST seed starting blend I’ve used. It has the perfect drainage for my Sun Blaster self watering unit &, clearly, young plants LOVE the nutrients & density of the soil to get going with mad abandon. I’ll eat up the last of my winter greens, repot the herbs & get my summer flowers started soon.
Wonderful wonderful wonderful products, excellent prices, lovely people at Mind & Soil. Thank you!!!
Allyson E.
My plants and vegetables thrive with the addition of worm castings!
Cindy L.
My garden veggies love the pure worm castings - the yields were amazing!

Love the worm castings and the worm castings mix! I used them both in my indoor and outdoor plants and the results were amazing. The outdoor plants took to their new homes right away and the indoor plants perked up and started showing new growth. Wonderful stuff. Jordan's advice and helpful videos really inspire me to get out and grow.
Sharon M.
This product worked amazing!

My garden and plants love the worm castings from Mind and Soil. Plants are thriving despite the cold spring - and now dealing with a heatwave.
Veronika H.
Used the worm castings around my perennials and they’re looking amazing! 100% recommend making worm castings part of your soil routine.
Brittany R.
Everyone keeps asking me what kind of magic I have going on in my garden! The worm casting and fertilizer I bought from mind and soil is an absolute game changer. My plants are double my families who also have greenhouses! I’m already eating out of my garden, vegetables that I wasn’t able to grow at all last year. Thank you !
Amy P.
Been using the worm castings for all the plants outside and inside. My potted orchids inside all bloomed at the same time!!!!
Dianne W.
I learnt how to use worm casing!!! Spinach/ bok cho are amazing.

Love the worm castings! So easy to use without any odour. I think they really give the transplants a great boost in growth, and greener foliage. Waiting to see how my cabbages and broccoli do in the next few weeks. Planted them in the garden on May 10th, but under milk jugs until the weather settles down and to prevent the rabbits from dining on them. Need to create a fence around them very soon so they can grow properly.
Linda L.
I swear my winter cactus is blooming becoz of the worm casting and 4-4-4 i added recently... although there isn't a lot of flowers but it was never a heavy bloomer. Very pleased to see it blooming IN SPRING. Sorry i tried to attach a picture but failed... also my angel begonia is shooting new shoots out after i fed it worm casting and 4-4-4.

I believe that planting all of my seedlings with worm castings made a huge difference to my garden last year. It was my first time using them, and I will continue to order from Mind and Soil as I believe in the philosophy of the company.
Alisha P.
These seedlings were all started with a magic growing mix including Mind and Soil worm castings and some Infinity Farm compost. All of these plants are vibrant, happy, healthy with unprecedented growth..they are all miracles!
Diane M.
Worm castings definitely made a difference. Seedlings are growing well.
Cathy N.
Best indoor potting/seedling mix ever! Not a single bug of any sort in my house. I grow a lot of hydroponic plants and every year no matter what I do or what sort of seedling mix I use I am inundated with the dreaded fungus gnats, which in turn nest into my hydroponic plants and wreak havoc on them. This is the only seedling mix I will ever use. I was running low and ordered another 3 pack, Mind and Soil must have some sort of magic going on, I was potting up some plants and did not have enough to finish, I got a Canada post email saying it was expect to arrive Thursday. I poured my last soil out of the bag on Tuesday, the doorbell rang 2 days early and my order was at the door. Brilliant! Everything is growing well and I can't wait for my Urban oasis.
Tara
Hello hello city gardener here! My Mind & Soil worm castings have made my downtown plant fam feel right at home and growing strong. Just got started last year and had such great results. Very excited to be off to the races on the second year of our growing journey and love seeing all the other pics here of some pretty amazing green gardens! One day we'll have a raised bed!! In the meantime though these potted transplants are looking pretty pumped for the summer, thanks Mind & Soil!
Maureen B.
Thanks, love being able to buy worm castings.
June M.
A handful goes under everything I plant. The plants can’t speak but they certainly smile!
Alana P.
I was super happy with the M&S products I used in my garden last season. I used the transplanting worm castings and superfood to transition my seedlings outside, along with inspiration from your garden videos to improve the soil quality of my garden boxes overall. It was a challenging summer with the heat wave but despite that, I had some major successes in my garden! (Along with the usual learning moments too!)
Marg T.
I bought the pure worm castings and the superfood and my plants have seen immense growth after not growing much in the last few years. I also bought the worm casting seedling mix and have found the seedlings to grow faster and stronger. Both soil products retain moisture longer which lessens the chance of plants drying up and causing stress to them. The difference after using Mind & Soil products is quite noticeable, my plants are so healthy and lush. The difference these products have made for my plants is helping me keep grounded, relaxed and happy.
Jill G.
I love Mind & Soil, not only for their high quality garden products, but for their awesome customer service and their focus on mental health. Their brand is next level and offers so much more than garden products. I get access to happy hours that teach me helpful gardening tips, lots of great YouTube videos and quick replies from customer service any time I’ve needed them. I’m so excited to see how my garlic turns out this year after using their garlic kit. Working on my my patio garden is a pivotal part of nurturing my mental health and Mind & Soil holds a special place in my heart. I love what they do!
Maureen W.
Gardening is my calm, just-for-me time. I love getting up, taking my morning coffee and checking out my garden- what’s growing, what needs dead-heading and what needs watering. I find satisfaction, joy and peace in nurturing a seed into lettuce that then becomes the salad on my dinner plate; or in seeing bees hover around the flowers I have planted and cared for. These are my “babies” so I start them in worm castings from Mind and Soil. Worm castings have been a huge boost to my gardening success this past year, giving my seedlings a nourishing soil in which to develop the structures and to mature in healthy, productive plants. And, I love that Jordan’s mission is to bring gardening’s mental health benefits to 1,000,000 people. Count me in- I definitely recognize the immense benefits of gardening to my mental health.
Kelly K.
I ordered the worm castings from you and the difference was incredible!! The soil held its moisture much longer and needed less watering!! Bonus!! We enjoyed being in the garden and connecting to the earth. It is not only terribly satisfied, but we both have busy jobs and the time we get to spend in the yard and garden is the perfect reset for the coming week. This summer it was even more important to let our minds relax from the worlds events. We are ready to get back at it this spring. I saved one bag and am going to use it in some starter sets next month. My dad was a terrific gardener and he always had fabulous everything!! I look forward to ordering again from Mind & Soil… I love the name of your company and feel the connection between those two words are absolute.

In 2021 I moved to a rural setting and soon realized my survival gardening skills had big gaps. I randomly found Mind and Soil and just knew with that name I could trust the info. My first huge battle so near to the forest was slugs, hundreds of slugs daily coming to munch. So we built a little greenhouse and with renewed confidence and a little mind and soil info I planted. Used worm castings, although I was too late to order from mind and soil for last year, as suggested, and watched it grow and grow and grow. I didn’t know the formula I have now learned for this year. Eventually it was an overgrown jungle. Fortunately most of it was kale and it withstood all my errors. Thanks to the continued teachings from Jordan and always encouraging me when I got a little lost I look forward to a bountiful growing experience this summer. I have the graph and information how to plan and grow the perfect garden and the growing kit on the way to enhance my experience. And my garlic bed is ready to bring forth bounty this year.

Sure, I'd love to share! Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of our garden in full abundance, but the beginning stages, it still looks pretty good. We grow our tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and peppers in 2 greenhouses, (homemade) In the garden we grew: garlic, dill, celery, strawberries, carrots, beans, peas, radishes, mustard greens, potatoes, and squash. We had a really good year with all the heat. I start all the plants from seed, 90% are West Coast Seeds. WCS has even had my veggie photos in their catalogues! . My strawberry photo is still in the 2022 issue. Hot pink berry basket. I love gardening, it makes me so happy!! It is so exciting to go in your yard and pick your own fruit and veggies. I really enjoy the happy hour sessions, they are a treat, especially when there is 3 feet of snow right now! I'm eagerly looking forward to using the Mind and Soil seed starting soil. The soils I bought last year were fabulous and everything is packaged so beautifully.
Cheryl S.
While I am a long time perennial gardener, last year during the pandemic, I decided to try my luck with annuals in a cut flower garden venture. I took part in your happy hour sessions that I discovered through West Coast seeds, knowing you were a local company, wanting to support you. I always learn something new so was excited to use your worm castings and fertilizer with everything I planted last year. I grew many seedlings both flower and vegetable so everything was transplanted into their permanent gardens spot with worm castings and your fertilizer. I definitely credit this combination for giving everything a very good start and to my delight, a very good yield. The cut flowers were all starting in brand new gardens so even though I added what I could, I know it will take a few years of growing and enhancing for the soil to provide consistently good yield. I am now a worm castings advocate and appreciate all your efforts to encourage others to get into the soil and grow something. It is my paradise, being in the garden so I too encourage others to try growing something. The benefits do a soul good!

I purchased the Mind & Soil kit with worm castings and fertilizer. I had seedlings grown from 8yr old seeds and I wasn’t hopeful. I followed the directions and ended up with a food forest I could even imagine. I couldn’t even contain the bounty it was so plentiful! My children and I enjoy gardening because it gets us outside more and there is a huge appreciation for fresh food. They begin by choosing their seeds and starting seedlings. We check them everyday and marvel at their growth. We plant them together, stake them together, harvest them together and do canning with some of it (that’s how much volume we had!).

As a first-time vegetable gardener, I went into the 2021 growing season with a lot of hope, but not a lot of know-how. I was so happy to discover Mind & Soil through their online tutorials and learned everything I needed to know to go from seeds, to seedlings to a full-fledged vegetable garden. Using their seedling mix, I was able to start healthy, strong plants and had great success with transplanting using the worm castings and superfood. Everything grew so well into late September, producing way more than I ever expected and giving me a daily routine that I truly looked forward to. I have recommended Mind & Soil both for their products and tutorials to friends and family and cannot say enough about the mental health benefits I have received from spending time outside with my hands in the dirt!
Brent B.
Mind & Soil products and garden tips gave my garden the perfect boost to grow healthy and beautiful plants! It was rejuvenating and peaceful to be out in the garden and growing our own vegetables.
Adam J.
What an amazing experience working with Jordan and team. The communication was top notch, and the end product speaks for itself. Jordan was there every step of the way with respect to all my green thumb questions (self proclaimed newbie, here!) and guided me through a process that was rewarding and educational. Mind&Soil is one of my favorite local small businesses that I plan on supporting for years to come. Also, their sweaters are insanely comfortable.
Maryanne
I have watched several videos from Mind and Soil about different aspects of gardening. Jordan makes them interesting and straight forward. From how to start a compost, up to harvesting your crop. One was how to over winter your pepper plants, which was new to me. Another was about stripping leaves from tomato plants, which he did much earlier than I have in past years. Tried that along with worm castings and gaia, my tomatoes were happier. I have ordered the Worm Casting and Superfood several times. They arrive quickly and are very easy to use. They are a great addition to my organic garden.
Cheryl T.
In 2021, I found "Mind and Soil" on Facebook, and was instantly drawn to the name. Learning from Jordan in his tutorials gave me the impetus to not only buy worm castings and fertiliser, but to think of my plants as "plant babies". Every seedling and plant that went into the ground, a container or a basket had a handful of worm castings and a big pinch of fertiliser. The results were amazing: my dwarf canna lilies reached 5 feet and tomato seedlings deemed too spindly to go in the ground reached 3 feet in containers. Gardening is one of my passions, as is entertaining. With Covid in the last two years, I have only been able to see friends and family outdoors in the summer. It has helped keep my spirits up to be able to plan and plant the garden with this in mind, and then actually see people in person."
Eva
I do love your products and your videos. The first one I watched was your seed starting one last year. I got excited to get a head start on the garden and to help I ordered your seed starting mix. That in combination with some seed from Westcoast seeds and voila....I had lots of plant babies. The worm castings in your starting mix really help the plants along I think. My garlic went in the ground not too long after your video on starting garlic and they seem to be okay even after the cold weather. I even took the two pepper plants I had and brought them inside for the winter. I've been a gardener for a while but I had no idea they were perennial. That's a bonus. Honestly, gardening and growing your own plants has really been so good for my mental health. I go to a different place when I'm outside and how amazing it is to make a meal with something you've grown. Keep up the great work. We really appreciate your videos and your products.
Eirikka B.
Growing food and gardening has been an excellent activity for our family during the pandemic. It has brought us together during a stressful time and we have learned so much from Jordan over the past two years. We have our seeds picked out for this year and waiting patiently for our worm castings seedling mix to arrive in the mail! The kids' favourite is always the strawberries and I was very impressed with my tomatoes!
Caroline P.
I first became aware of Mind and Soil last Fall when I watched Jordan's informative YouTube video on planting garlic. I ordered the garlic planting kit which included worm castings, super food, and even two beautiful heads of garlic. The kit came quickly and was charmingly presented in burlap bags. I followed Jordan's instructions as closely as I could. It is now the end of January here on the Southern Gulf Islands and I have just pulled back the leaf mulch to check my garlic babies. They are already up and looking strong and healthy - well ahead of my previous experiences and in spite of the cold, wet winter. I'm now eagerly waiting for my Mind and Soil seedling mix to get a head start on this year's garden.
Kevin T.
Happy Hour is fun but worm castings and Superfood are even better. We have great soil and did pretty well with the garden in 2020, but I swear when I added these 2 items to my 2021 garden bed our veggies came up at least 30% “better”: Healthier, larger, less mould & bug issues. Happier veggies! Especially our squash which I’ve always struggled with mould. It was totally noticeable. Jordan is smart and helpful and I love his online library. Highly recommended.
Shannon D.
As someone who has struggled with considerable mental health difficulties for most of my life, I was intrigued when I first heard of Mind and Soil last year. While I have been aware of gardening’s mental health benefits for some time, I’ve found Mind and Soil’s philosophy of using mindfulness, and self-compassion, combined with the superior quality of their products, incredibly helpful for ensuring successful growth. I have worked to enjoy the process of growing, without concerning myself too much with the outcome, as their philosophy of mindfulness suggests. However, the outcome has been complete success. The seed starting mix is amazing, and the guidance along the way has been invaluable.
Michele S.
Mind and Soil was introduced to me through a team company gift last year (with a seedling starter mix). I followed up with Jordan about the order and have since been wowed by the service I've received on a couple of occasions. I've watched a couple of videos (loved the Garlic Happy Hour) and also ordered a few others things and have shared my experiences with others, mainly because the service I've received has been next level. I've also shared Mind & Soil's Happy Hour series with my fellow community gardeners locally and our gardening channel at work. Something this good demands to be shared! so thanks Jordan for helping new and experienced gardeners alike and providing the kind of service that makes people sit up and take notice. It's also really nice to support a BC-based company, so winning all around!
Kate W.
your seed starting workshop/happy hour last year was very helpful. I’ve never really had great success starting from seed, probably because I always used a sterile mix and had trouble fertilizing properly. In fact, I lost a bunch of tomato and pepper seedlings for this very reason last year (unfortunately, I’d started them before watching the happy hour). This year I’m definitely going to use the worm castings! The plants I applied it to in the garden grew very well.
Paula R.
Shoots are starting to poke up and they look strong and healthy.
I used your worm castings in each hole as you recommended. Fingers crossed for more success with other crops. Some of my favorite seeds to plant are Fortex beans, rainbow carrots, monstruyeux de viroflay spinach.
I have enjoyed your tutorials to date and look forward to viewing more. Thank you for making them and sharing your knowledge with the gardening community.
Shew Y.
Thank you so much for your always so detailed instructions and video which I enjoyed very much. I followed yr instructions on preparing & planting my garlics so I am looking forward to my harvest this year!
As for those worm castings I got from you last year, I used them when I transplanted my tomatoes into the garden and that was the first time I planted tomatoes ever. I was really pleased with the amount of tomatoes harvest I got. I didn't start my tomatoes from seeds, I got heirloom tomatoes from Pheonix Nursery and got some special variety from UBC nursery as well.
Beth S.
So far so good. We have used the worm castings when planting the vegetables and also added them to a few plants in our landscape. Everything seems to be doing really well.
Tara M.
Off to such a great start this year with M&S worm castings! As a newbie gardener I would never have guessed something so gross could be this great!
Margaret W.
I enjoyed the chat and then ordered the transplant kit and worm casting. Delivered quickly - still early in our garden season but I am feeling happy - plants are thriving.
Susan S.
My plants love these worm castings :)
Nicole O.
I do no tknow if my photo has been loaded, but everything is growing nicely including my peas that I have transplanted with some worm casting.
Sara B.
Hi Jordan,
So far, it's looking great. When a grow light I had ordered arrived two weeks in advance of the arrival of the worm castings, I planted up Purple Choy seeds in 1.5 inch peat pots. When my order of castings arrived, I planted Yellow Choy seeds with the castings and Gaia fertilizer. By then, I had also taken your workshop on Hardening Seedlings Off, so planted them in 3 inch square pots.
Well, despite the two week delay, the Yellow Choy is now the same size as the Purple Choy --I have planted both veggies in the past: they have the same requirements & usually grow to the same size. I know there are confounds here in that I also used fertilizer in the later planting and the pots are different sizes (but I also put about 5 seeds in each of the 3 inch pots as recommended by Jordan). So the major difference is the worm castings and fertilizer. Whichever one gave them the boost, I will definitely be planting my seedlings with both from now on. Thanks for all the info in your workshops!
Moya S.
Used them to re-plant my over-wintered strawberries into my new raised bed along with Gaia 4-4-4. Doing really well after only a week! Thanks
Maryanne A.
Came on the day that was indicated. Easy to scoop. Just starting to get going with the garden though. Prince George is a wee bit cooler than the coast. Maryanne

Excellent product information and use advice; easy ordering and personal delivery. And most importantly, it appears my plants love the addition of the worm castings to their soils.
